Kenneth Donel Aaron, age 84, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his residence. 

 

Kenneth was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on February 8, 1934, a son of the late Ira (Keplinger) and Joseph  Aaron.

 

He worked in the construction business.

 

He was the husband of Helen  (Cooper) Aaron. On March 13, 1968, they were married at Poteau, Oklahoma. 

 

Kenneth is survived by: 

Wife:  Helen Aaron, of the home.

Daughters:   Iva Tubbs, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Nancy Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Sons/Daughters-In-Law:  Kenneth & Danyell Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Jay & Robin Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Sisters/Brother-In-Law:  Thelma & Don Crowder, of Marietta, Oklahoma; Lellie (Lee) Farwell, of Plymouth, Illinois. 

Brother:   Jo Bill Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Brother-In-Law:  Doc Cooper, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.  

Sister-In-Law: Barbara Cooper, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.  

Several nieces & nephews.  

He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.

Service at the Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018  with Rev. Richard Matthews officiating. Interment to follow at the Centerpoint Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Lillie Mae Taylor, age 80, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Hospice Quality Care, of  Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Lillie was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on December 22, 1937, a daughter of the late Gather Lillie (Newcomb) and Edward  Owens.

Lillie worked as a school teacher.

Lillie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Lillie is  survived by:
Son:  Brent Taylor, of Oklahoma.
Sister:   Cathie Norton, of Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Brother:    David Owens, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Lillie is also survived by 2 Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 12 brothers & sisters.

Bobby Joe Smart, age 81, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital,  of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on May 29, 1937, a son of the late Vergie (Sanders) and Bill  Smart.

He served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years.  He was a Jet Engine Mechanic.

Bobby is  survived by:
Daughter:   Denell, wife of  Stacey Wayne Cooley, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Sons:  Darrell Smart & Annie Lauterbach, of Longview, Washington; Michael Smart, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Brother:  Ray, husband of  Lola Smart, of Sayre, Oklahoma.
Bobby is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Smart and Billy Smart; son, Gerald Smart; daughter, Michelle Smart; and sisters, Laveda Click and Oleta Farber.

Graveside Service will be held at the Mt. Station Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018  with Rev. Ben Ashlocke officiating.

Robert Gwin Miller, age 60, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2019 at the Integris/Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Robert was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 30, 1957, a son of Daisy (Miller) Jones and the late Harvey S. Miller.

He worked as a sanitation employee for the City of Wilburton.

Robert is survived by:

Vera Katherine Deerdoff, age 78, formerly of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her residence in Fairview, West Virginia.

Vera was born in Arch, Oklahoma on March 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Mattie Elizabeth (Penfield) and Thomas Daniel Deerdoff.

Vera worked as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Vera is  survived by:

Rebecca Morgan (Waldrop) Velazquez, age 36, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at her residence.

Rebecca was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on December 21, 1981, a daughter of Rick Waldrop and the late Cynthia  (Parker) Hodge.

Rebecca worked as a CNA/ Nurse Assistant at  the Emeritus Senior Living Center and Cherokee County Nursing Home, both in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Love Light Christian Center, of  Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Help & Crises/Onefire groups.

Rebecca is survived by:
Father: Rick Waldrop, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Son:  Skylor Velazquez, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Sister:   Sarah Waldrop, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

J.A. was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on June 24, 1927, a son of the late Vesta (Williams) and James A. Eccles.

J.A. worked as a carpenter.  He was of the Assembly of God faith.

He was the husband of Teddie  (Davis) Eccles. On February 5, 1947, they were married at Paris, Texas.

Dillon graduated from Hartshorne High School in 2017.  He was a member of the FCCLA and the basketball team.

Bobbie was employed as a secretary for the State of Oklahoma.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma.
