 Lawana Mathis, 63, of Wilburton, OK, passed away Monday, May 4th, at her residence. . 

Lawana was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on November 8, 1951, a daughter of the late Leortha (Cathey) and Milton  Brown.

She was employed as a janitor.

She was the widow of Phillip Ronald Mathis.

Lawana is  survived by 
a daughter, Brenda, wife of  Walter Baldwin, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
 

Lawana is also survived by 
a sister, Kathy, wife of  Jim Sutmiller, of Wasilla, Alaska. 
two brothers, Lyle, husband of  Rose Brown, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Steve, husband of  Chris Brown, of Anchorage, Alaska; 
 

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Dustin Mathis.

She is also survived by Brother-In-Law/Sister-In-Law:  Wayne & Billie Mathis of Wilburton, Oklahoma; David Mathis of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Lynn Mathis, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Tim & Sandy Hamilton, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.  Granddaughter: Chelsie and fiance Copeland Cook, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Graveside Service at Highbridge Cemetery, Wilburton, OK, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7th,  with Rev. Randy Waldrop officiating.
