In Memory of  Mary Pearl (Coyer) Draper

Mary Pearl (Coyer) Draper, age 88, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her residence in Wilburton. 

Mary was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Vanita (Edwards) and Jess  Coyer.  She grew up in various places during the depression in a very poor family. 

Mary was the widow of Bill Draper.  On March 22, 1947 Bill and Mary were married in McAlester, Oklahoma.

Mary graduated from Choctaw High School at the age of sixteen.  She went directly to work during WWII at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City for eleven years, then American Airlines in Tulsa, then Choctaw High Schools and finished her career at Eastern Oklahoma State College as the Secretary to the President and Administrative Assistant to the Board of Regents.

Mary was saved at an early age and served the Lord all her adult like as a member of First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; High Bridge Baptist Church and Grace Country Cowboy Church of Wilburton.  She was inactive in the order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 506, of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma and Lifetime Member of the VFW Auxiliary of Wilburton.

Mary is survived by:
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Bill & Charlene Draper, of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Charlotte & Terry Wafford, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Granddaughter: Summer Brannon and husband Clint, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Grandsons:  Billy Draper, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Brian Cannon and wife Gretchen, of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Clint Cannon and wife Jennifer, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Jason Draper and wife Cindi, of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Brothers-In-Law:  Gerald Plunk, of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Bob Draper, of Morenci, Arizona.
Sister-In-Law:  Nadine Basden, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson.
Numerous nephews and nieces.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bill True Draper, parents Jess and Vanita Coyer, brother Roger Coyer and wife Violet, sister Loveta Rapp and husband Ernest, sister Barbara Lewis and husband Curtis, sister JoAnn Plunk, and infant brother. 

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Grace Country Cowboy Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Service at Grace Country Cowboy Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016  with Rev. Clint Cannon officiating.  Interment  to follow at the Highbridge Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.
