Horace C. Smallwood, age 87, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Horace was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on January 8, 1929, a son of the late Ruth (Cole) and Leslie F. Smallwood.
He worked as a rancher.
Horace was a member of First Baptist Church, of Red Oak, Oklahoma where he was a faithful Sunday School teacher.
Horace is survived by:
Son: Wayne Smallwood, of the home.
Daughter: Valerie Smallwood, of the home.
Sister/Brother-In-Law: Virginia & Kenneth Love, of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Nephews: Larry Love, Mark Love, Rick Love, Ronney Smallwood.
Nieces: Felicia White, Susan Smallwood.
He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; 2 brothers, Ernest and Cecil.
Service at First Baptist Church, Red Oak, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 with Rev. Johnny Montgomery officiating. Interment to follow at the Red Oak Cemetery, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
