William (Bill) Thomas Emmert, age 85, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Bill was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on February 25, 1932, a son of the late Bercy (Hardy) and Eugene Emmert.
He worked as a rancher. Bill was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Wilburton.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was the husband of Juanita (Thornton) Emmert. On June 8, 1956, they were married at Talihina, Oklahoma.
Bill is survived by:
Wife: Juanita Emmert, of the home.
Daughter/Son-In-Law: Nancy & Brian Battles, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Sons/Daughters-In-Law: Brian & Deann Emmert, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Dennis & Jennifer Emmert, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Ronald & Stephanie Emmert, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Brothers/Sisters-In-Law: Russell & Rita Emmert, of Miami, Florida; Paul & Terry Emmert, of Talihina, Oklahoma; Richard & Nikki Emmert, of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Ronald Emmert, of McKinney, Texas.
He is also survived by Grandchildren: Lake Battles, Courtney Battles, Dalton Battles, Derek Emmert, Connor Emmert, Savannah Emmert.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Service at First Baptist Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 with Dr. Paul Brady and Rev. Tom Ratliff officiating. Interment to follow at Lutie Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers: Brian Emmert, Dennis Emmert, Ronald Emmert, Dalton Battles, Derek Emmert, Connor Emmert. Honorary Pallbearers: Doug Hensley, Brian Battles.
