In Memory of Michael "Rooster" Dewayne Royer

Michael "Rooster" Dewayne Royer, age 61, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at his residence.

Rooster was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on August 19, 1957, a son of the late Minnie Jane (Ezell) and Lewis Royer.

Rooster worked in the oil field. He attended the Grace Country Cowboy Church, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. Rooster was a strong supporter of both the Eastern Oklahoma State College athletics and the Wilburton Public School athletics.

Rooster is survived by:

Sons/Daughters-In-Law: Zac & Jessica Royer, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Chad & Ashley Lawrence, of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Sisters/Brother-In-Law: Toni Royer, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Pam & Danny Crafts.

Brothers/Sisters-In-Law: Rick & Lee Royer, of Crowder, Oklahoma; Larry & Gina Nimrod, Mike & Dee Nimrod.

Nephews: Calib Adams, Justin & Carl Nimrod.

Nieces: Megan Munsy, Miranda Hoos, Kelsey Adams.

Great Nephew: Brode Rick Adams.

Great Nieces: Abigail Muncy, Isabella Muncy, Lilly Anne Muncy.

Rooster is also survived by Grandchildren: Allie, Brody, Emy Jane, Tristan, Asher.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Minnie Jane Royer; step-father, Pat Nimrod; 2 brothers, Kevin & Mike Nimrod.

Memorial Service at Wilburton High School Auditorium, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 with Rev. Clint Cannon and Bain Durant officiating. Burial at the Wilburton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, of Wilburton, Oklahoma will be at a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bob Rigsby, Bo Mathis, Jesse Old, James Old, Luke Mitchell, Jake Kious, Glen Smith, Dustin Potts, Men from the Grace Country Cowboy Church.
