John Douglas Jones, age 75, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2016 at the  St. Francis Hospital, of  Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

John was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on May 24, 1942, a son of the late Helen (Brewer) and Audra  Jones.

John worked as a mechanic.  He was of the Baptist faith.  

John served in the U.S. Army. 

John is the husband of Vickie (Martin) Jones.   On May 2, 1962, they were married in California. 

John is  survived by:
Wife:  Vickie Jones, of the home.
Sons/Daughters-In--Law:  Johnny & Maryetta Jones, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Glen & Banbessa Jones, of McAlester, Oklahoma.
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:  Cherri & Sammy Spencer, of Krebs, Oklahoma; Joanie & Joseph Blake, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren.  A host of many friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers.

Graveside Service at Wilburton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017  with Mr. Doug Nixon officiating.

Wennon Price, age 87, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at the  McAlester Regional Hospital, of McAlester, Oklahoma. 

Wennon was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on August 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Mary (Lovejoy) and Claude  Bales.  Wennon was a  homemaker.  She was of the Baptist faith.  

Wennon was the widow of Jack  Price. On November 9, 1948, they were married at Talihina, Oklahoma. 

Wennon is  survived by:
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Jerry & Robin Price, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:   Linda Price, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Rhonda Quinn, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Kay & Randy Langham, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Peggy & Rowland Glenn, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Debbie & Paul Smith, of Sunnyvale, Texas; Lesa Price, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Sisters:   Loretta Judd, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Alma Hollan, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Carolyn Getz, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren.  Several nieces & nephews.

Wennon was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Price, grandson, Trey Glenn, great granddaughter, Ruthie Langham.

Service at The Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017  with Rev. Willard Francis officiating.  Interment to follow at the Baldwin Cemetery, Red Oak, Oklahoma.

In Memory Of Wanda Jewel Muse

Wanda Jewel Muse, age 94, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Latimer Nursing Home, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Wanda was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on July 5, 1923, a daughter of the late Myrtle (McCaslin) and Hugh  Laughlin.

Wanda was a  homemaker.  She was a member of the First United Free Will Baptist Church, of  Red Oak, Oklahoma.

She was the widow of George W. Muse. In 1945, they were married at Arkansas. 

Wanda is  survived by: 
Daughter:   Jackie Skidmore, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
She is also survived by 2 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cleta Wood and sons-in-law,Gary Skidmore and Everett Wood.

Service at First United Free Will Baptist Church, Red Oak, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017  with Rev. Lonnie Stepp officiating.  Interment to follow at the Garland Cemetery, of Stigler, Oklahoma.

Gary Lynn Sparks

In Memory Of  Gary Lynn Sparks

Gary Lynn Sparks, age 64, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his home in Wilburton.

Gary was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on July 22, 1952, a son of the late Henryetta (Bambeck) and Bill  Sparks.  Gary graduated from Wilburton High School in 1970.  He owned and operated several businesses in the community, including Sparks Phillips 66, The Picture Show and Gary's Place.  He retired from Wilburton Fire Department in 2001 after many years of service.  Gary was also a member of the Wilburton Masonic Lodge #141.

Gary is  survived by: 
Son:  Jake Sparks, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:   Leslie & Michael Patten, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Kayce & Bobby Shank, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Whitney Sparks, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Sister/Brother-In-Law:   Mary Faye & Cal McCullough, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
Gary is also survived by Grandchildren:  Shay Stacey, Rylee Stacey, Broden Stacey, and Seth Patten of Red Oak, Oklahoma and Austin & Kale Shank of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Henryetta Sparks; brothers, Billy Charles, Drew & Jimmy Ray Sparks; son, Timothy Don Sparks; daughter, Leigh Sparks.  And Karen Rae Robbins.

Pearl was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on January 27, 1924, a daughter of the late Fannie L. (Tedder)  and Joseph S. White.

Pearl was a  homemaker.  She was a member of  the First Baptist Church of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Pearl is survived by:
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Gene E. & Joann Smith, of Coweta, Oklahoma; Bill C. Smith, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Richard B. Smith, of Midland, Texas.
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:   Ann & Jim Parker, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Margaret L. & Forrest McLemore, of Fairview, Texas.
Sisters:  Lois Johnson, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Maxine Bickerstaff, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.

Mary Dell Morgan, age 78, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital, Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Mary was born in Jasper, Georgia on October 31, 1938, a daughter of the late Della (Long) and James  Compton.

Mary was a homemaker.  She was a member of North Rock Creek Baptist Church, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

She was the wife of Cecil Warren Morgan. On September 28, 1957, Mary and Cecil were married at Jasper, Georgia. 

Mary is  survived by
Husband: Cecil Morgan, of the home. 
Daughter:   Tresa Jo Morgan, of Bixby, Oklahoma. 
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Clifton D. Morgan, of Allen, Oklahoma; Carlton Lee Morgan, of Allen, Oklahoma; Clay & Kelitha Morgan, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Sister:   Jimmie Thomason, of Jasper, Georgia. 
Mary is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren.

Bill  Booth, Jr., 66, of Red Oak, OK, passed away Monday, June 5th, at his residence. . 

Bill was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on March 25, 1951, a son of the late Donna (Danel) and William (Bill) O. Booth, Sr.

Bill worked in the oil field.  He was a member of Church of Christ, of  Red Oak, Oklahoma. 

He was the husband of De'Anne  (Noah) Booth. On April 11, 1969, they were married at Red Oak, Oklahoma. 

Bill is survived by:
Wife:  De'Anne Booth, of the home. 
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Candace & Randy Raney, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:   Trey & Brase Booth, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Jon Booth, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Quinton Ramsey Picone, age 27, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence.
Quinton was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 29, 1989, a son of Sherry Lynn (Scott) and Vincent Ray Picone, of McAlester.
He was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Army Ammunition Plant, of McAlester, Oklahoma.
Quinton was of the Baptist faith.  He served in the U.S. Army.
Quinton is survived by
Father and Mother: Vincent & Sherry Picone, of McAlester, Oklahoma.
Sisters: Judy Kay Picone, of Durant, Oklahoma; Alexandra Lenora Picone, of McAlester, Oklahoma; Alisha Marie Picone, of Beaufort, South Carolina.
Paternal Grandparents: Alexander & Judy Kay Picone, of Kansas City, Missouri.  
Maternal Grandparents:  Wayne & Nora Scott, of Panola, Oklahoma.  
Fiancee:  Samantha Klosterman, of Tybee Island, Georgia. 
Nephew: Jordan Ramsey Picone, of Durant, Oklahoma.
Niece:  Hadley Ann Allar, of Beaufort, South Carolina.
