Billy Wayne Hulsey, age 83, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his home in Wilburton.

Billy was born in Hico, Texas on November 14, 1933, a son of the late Laura  and Bud  Hulsey.

He was employed in the Aerospace Industry.  Billy was a member of DAV, VFW, and Masonic Lodge of Wilburton.  He served in the U.S. Marines. 

He was the husband of Sharon  (Keenan) Hulsey. On February 18, 1977, Billy & Sharon were married at San Diego, California. 

Billy is  survived by:
Wife:  Sharon Hulsey, of the home. 
Son:  Scott Hulsey, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
Step Sons:  Michael Doyle, of Paris, Arkansas; James Wesley Doyle, of Del Rio, Texas; William Timothy Doyle, of Murrieta, California.  
He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters.

Marvin Robert Gregory

In Memory Of  Marvin Robert Gregory

Marvin Robert Gregory, age 70, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home in Wilburton.

Marvin was born in Greenville, Michigan on June 12, 1946, a son of the late Alfreda (Greehoe) and Marvin J. Gregory.

Marvin worked as a auto mechanic.  He was a member of The Church of the Rock, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Marvin served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and was a Purple Heart recipient.   

He was the husband of Marilyn  (Stordahl) Gregory. On August 13, 2003, they were married at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. 

Marvin is  survived by:
Wife: Marilyn Gregory, of the home.
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:   Bobby Gregory, of Six Lakes, Michigan; Jessie & Heidi Winter, of Six Lakes, Michigan; Travis Winter, of Lakeview, Michigan; Chris Nisonger, of Six Lakes, Michigan.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Tammy & Steve Melcher, of Manchester, Michigan. 
Sister/Brother-In-Law: , Sharon & Doug Phillips, of Armada, Michigan. 
Brother:  Marvin Patrick Gregory, of Frederick, Michigan. 
He is also survived by several other sons and daughter.  Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Adams Gregory.

Service at The Church of the Rock, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 with Rev. Daniel Taylor officiating.  Interment to follow at the Veterans Colony Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Juanita Booth, age 93, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. 

Juanita was born in Waldron, Arkansas on January 30, 1924, a daughter of the late Ella Mae (Fry) and John  Metcalf.

She was a member of Rocky Point United Methodist Church of the Rocky Point Community,  Juanita was also a member of the Eastern Star-Wilburton Chapter and the Oklahoma Home and Community Education.   She was a loving homemaker.

Juanita is  survived by:
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Johnny & Cyndi Booth, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Jimmy Booth, of Panola, Oklahoma.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:   Linda & Larry Dean Sand, of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. 
She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren: Brandon Booth and wife Lacey, of Sugerland, Texas.  Heath Sand and wife Shannon, of Owasso, Oklahoma. Heather Winn, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  Brenda Scott, of Frisco, Texas.  John Booth and wife Susan, of Norcross, Georgia.  Hamilton Sand & wife Stalacea, of Claremore, Oklahoma.  17 Great Grandchildren.  5 Great Great Grandchildren.  A host of several friends.
 
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geneva Stanful; brother, Wilburn Metcalf.

Service at Rocky Point United Methodist Church, Rocky Point Community, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017  with Rev. Joseph Cochran officiating.   Interment to follow at the Red Oak Cemetery, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

In Memory Of  William A. Root

William A. Root, age 75, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock,  Arkansas. 

William was born in Yakima, Washington on June 19, 1941, a son of the late Margaret (Maddox) and Wayne  Root.

He retired from the  O.S. Navy. 

William is  survived by:
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:   Wayne & Malisa Root, of Everton, Arkansas; Jason Root & Shanda, of Lavaca, Arkansas.
Daughters:   Anjie Engel, of Woodland Hills, California, Farhan Root, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
Sister:  Vicky Bergen, of Crestview, Florida. 
He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild.

William was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Lynda Root.

Loyd M. Parker, age 82, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his residence in Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Loyd was born in Wheeler, Texas on June 28, 1934, a son of the late Louella (Turner) and Leath M. Parker.

Loyd was self-employed.  He worked in sales at J & L Mart, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

He was the widower of Joan  (Cockrum) Parker. On September 12, 1952, they were married in California.   Joan passed away August 17, 2012. 

Loyd is  survived by: 
Daughters:  Rebecca Coy and Tracy Parker, both of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Loyd W. & Jarita Parker, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
Sister:   Jakie Davis, of Ely, Nevada. 
Brother:  Leath M. Parker, Jr., of Edmond, Oklahoma. 
 A host of several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. 

 Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; son, Jeffrey Parker; brother, Billy Jo Parker; sister, Leatha Smith; step-father, Glen Gladden; son-in-law, Ronny Coy.

Lottie Mae Mickle

In Memory Of  Lottie Mae Mickle

Lottie Mae Mickle, age 85, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the  Mercy Hospital, of Ada, Oklahoma. 

Lottie was born near Damon, Oklahoma on May 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Florence (Brownfield) and Jesse  Turnbow.  She was the youngest of 9 children.  Lottie spent most of he adult life working in cafes in the McAlester and Wilburton areas.  She also owned a couple of cafes through the years.

She was well-known for her baking skills.  In her younger years, she would get requests for her Cherry Cream Pies and Coconut Cream Pits from friends who wanted to purchase them; and everyone loved her fried pies.  While she love baking, and prided herself on having a table filled with food at every gathering, it was the people surrounding that table that meant the most to her.  She deeply loved her children and grandchildren.  If you ask them, they will tell you the greatest gift she gave them was sharing her love and faith in our Lord, closely followed by her unconditional love for her family.

Lottie was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Lottie is  survived by: 
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Judy & Larry McCullough, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Michael R. &  Karen Mickle, of Bettendorf, Iowa.
Grandchildren: Tim & Kayla McCullough, of Ada, Oklahoma; David & Alisa McCullough, of Columbus, Nebraska; Stacia & Ian McCune, of Quinton, Oklahoma; Kyle, Kate and Matt Mickle of Bettendorf, Iowa.  
She also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren
 
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and her husband, Billy L. Mickle.

Service at Calvary Baptist Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017  with Rev. Willard Francis officiating.   Interment to follow at the  Wilburton City Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Emmitt Nole Ludlow, age 83, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Latimer Nursing Home, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Emmitt was born in Ludlow, Oklahoma on February 16, 1933, a son of the late Esther (Goodwin) and Thomas  Ludlow.

He worked as a rancher.

Emmitt is survived by:

Delouris Green, age 84, of Wister, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Beare Manor NH, Hartshorne, Oklahoma. 

Delouris was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on March 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Mary  E. (Lovejoy) and Claud E. Bales.

Delouris was a homemaker.  She was a member of The Church of God 7th Day, Wister, Oklahoma. 

She was the widow of James  Green. On November 9, 1948, they were married at Talihina, Oklahoma. 

Delouris is also survived: 
Sisters:  Loretta Judd, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Wennon Price, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Carolyn Getz, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Alma Lee Hollan, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Verna was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on February 8, 1944, a daughter of Bydia Lee (Coley) Pope and the late Leslie Pope.

Verna was a  homemaker.  She was a member of the South Rock Creek Indian Baptist Church.

Horace C. Smallwood, age 87, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital,  of Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Horace was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma on January 8, 1929, a son of the late Ruth (Cole) and Leslie F. Smallwood.

He worked as a rancher.  

Horace was a member of First Baptist Church, of  Red Oak, Oklahoma where he was a faithful  Sunday School teacher. 

Horace is  survived by:

Daughter:  Valerie Smallwood, of the home.
Sister/Brother-In-Law:  Virginia & Kenneth Love, of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
