In Memory of Linda Louise Everhart-Cargill

Linda Louise Everhart-Cargill, 65, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Waldrop Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Waldrop Officiating.

Linda was born in Lakewood, New Jersey, to Steve and Shirley Everhart and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves and later worked for AT&T.

Driven by a nurturing spirit, she went on to own and operate her own daycare in Oklahoma City before eventually settling in Wilburton, Oklahoma, where she enjoyed a well-earned retirement.

Linda had a deep love for the outdoors, and her greatest passion was fishing. She cherished quiet moments with her beloved cats and shared her life with her best friend and devoted companion, Joe Cooper. Gifted with a beautiful voice, Linda found joy in singing and brought light to those around her through her music and presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Shirley Everhart.

Linda is survived by her companion and best friend, Joe Cooper of Wilburton; her brother, Steve Cody Everhart of Blanchard, Oklahoma; and her sister, Diana Smith of Wilburton. She also leaves behind three nephews—Danny, Aaron, and Jeremy Smith—one niece, Amanda Smith, and several great-nieces and great-nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Linda’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.
