In Memory of Robert Harvey Morrison

Robert Harvey Morrison, age 64, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was born on March 23, 1961, in Red Oak, Oklahoma, to John George Morrison and Edna Mae (Cunningham) Morrison Noley.

Robert was raised in Wilburton, Oklahoma, where he attended and graduated from Wilburton Public Schools. Following high school, he worked locally and later married, becoming the proud father of one daughter, Melissa. Robert eventually began working in the oil industry, a career that took him to several countries where he worked for many years. After returning to the United States, he continued working until his retirement in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Morrison) Meshell, and her husband, Jordan Meshell, of Durant, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Blakely, Peyton, and Gunner; his sister, Mary Linda (Morrison) Montgomery, and husband Johnny Montgomery of Red Oak, Oklahoma; his brother, Michael Edward Morrison of Wilburton, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend, Margaret Kirkpatrick.

He was preceded in death by his father, John George Morrison of Wilburton, Oklahoma; his mother, Edna Mae (Cunningham) Morrison Noley of Wilburton, Oklahoma; brothers, George Shan Morrison and Johnny Gerald Morrison, both of Wilburton, Oklahoma; his sister, Sherry Mae (Morrison) Watkins of Wilburton, Oklahoma; and his niece, Tenna Marie Montgomery of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Wilburton, Oklahoma with Rev. Johnny Montgomery officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Waldrop Funeral Home.
